You are in the right place! I understand how you feel. I hear the same concerns from my clients who also desire a stylish and beautiful home. You are ready to use more color but want to make sure it is the right color. Choosing colors the first time is so difficult that almost half of all paint sales come from re-painting over a poor first choice! It is so important to get it right from the beginning, so you can save on time, eliminate the stress of re-painting, and create a color perfect home you love.
HOW I WORK

The consultation begins with a phone call in which you give me specific information about your home, how the room(s) will be used, any furniture and furnishings that will remain to determine undertones. You will also be asked about your favorite colors and, more importantly, those which you prefer not to be used.

Behind the scene, I research colors I believe will work based on the information you provided. I email you these to see your preference and to understand your color sensitivity whether you lean more toward muted or bold.

From your response, I choose several options.

At your in-home personalized meeting, I use a combination of my 11X14 inch color boards, as well as Benjamin Moore paint fan decks, showing different options against the specific walls and furnishings. This process allows me to recognize which undertones are present so I can match paint colors that are compatible.

The final color palette is chosen with my suggestions and your approval. I feel strongly that this process is a joint endeavor since it is your home to enjoy; however, I have been trained to tell you why one color is a better choice - This is what separates DS Color Design from others.

The goal of DS Color Design is to provide you with personalized, in-home color consultation and present you with a beautiful cohesive color palette to enhance your current look or create something new. Because my training is specialized and I am able to work with all home designs and colors, I provide you this unique service. My mission is for you to appreciate color, and not be afraid of it. This is why you are hiring me. Let me take away your anxiety and frustration. The fee for this service starts at $200. Your firm estimate will be given at the time of booking. I accept payment by personal check upon completion.

About
ABOUT DIANE
The inspiration for this business came from my grandmother Lillie. She was a lovely lady that took pride in her home. She filled it with wonderful aromas, comfortable overstuffed furniture, and a stylish decor. Although she never received any formal training, it came natural to her along with watching and imitating her mother. I spent a few weeks every summer growing up with her and feel blessed to have had such a influential role model. Today, I feel she is looking down on me with pride. Through the years I have followed in her footsteps with a similar pride for my own home; however, I have taken this passion, along with formal training in the decorating field and enjoy my business helping others to create a beautiful and comfortable environment to share with family and friends. When you are happy with your home, I have achieved my goal. My previous career was spent helping others as a RN in various settings, another prime example of helping others. In addition I achieved a BS in Business. My passion for decorating led me to a Certification in Home ReDesign with advanced and specialized Certification as a Color Expert. I live in St Augustine Beach with my husband, Steve, and puppy, Abbie.
